The Hearts Unite
Dan, you're my hero!!
Dan found a cute way to have Heart 2.0 "up".
Now 2.0 has a Big Brother to look after it. I love it. I'm sure it will raise a few eyebrows and get some chuckles.

I had a pretty traumatic experience today. Dan accompanied me to put up 2.0, and as we walked away accomplished, we saw that the teenagers who watched us put it up with joy and excitement had ripped down the Heart. I yelled at them. I was so upset and angry because they had destroyed a beautiful thing that belonged to someone else. A woman from the neighborhood acknowledged us for putting up a beautiful artwork on a building she considered "ugly" (a new condo/apartment construction), and the teenagers watched with curious and excited interest. I don't know why the teenagers did what they did, except that they are (fucking) jerks who don't know that what they did was a (fucking) asshole move after they expressed how "cool" it was that we were doing such a thing.
Talk about irony. Teenagers are "rebellious" and here they are supporting THE MAN by ripping down a street art. What the fuck is that about? I guess those kids love authority. Maybe some years down the line, they might just have a cathartic moment in which they figure that that what they did today hurt someone else and their actions took something unique and fun away from the neighborhood. Anyways. You live, you give, you learn.
