Come and Eat Food!
...Oh! And Look At Some Art!!
3/6 Show posters
Last weekend, Lauren Berman, Justin Catron, Janice Larko, and I had a group show in Turner Student Gallery. We didn't have a theme, but we all agreed that one of the main reasons why students come to the Turner openings is because of the food. People usually crowd outside of the gallery, mowing down on food, not giving any mind the work that is displayedinside the gallery. So we decided roll in a table and serve our food inside the gallery.
Lauren showed a collection of her brandings on wood, along with several glass pieces. Justin scared and irritated several people with his metal sci-fi "spider" that loudly vibrated when cued on by a motion detector. Janice displayed a tiled composition of individual wax shapes on the wall. As for me, since several people were wondering whether there were going to be cats in the show because of the of posters I created, I decided to arrange all the food we had bought for the show into two cat faces. People wondered where my piece was, and I just pointed at the food. :)
