Noticed Art Direction

After being a loyal customer of DirecTV for several years, the company gave us a free trial run of Showtime+ for a few months. Last night I caught two episodes of United States of Tara. When I saw the print ads in the subway stations, I thought it was a stupid comedy series, but after reading the review in The New Yorker, my curiosity was piqued. The beginning of the show does an adequate job of recapping what has happened in the last episodes without giving anything away. If you've ever seen the show, it's not as if anyone knows what actual past experiences Tara's been through to cause her to have multiple personalities (which is the premise of the show). The best part of the show is the opening.

My favorite detail is T's ponytail.

And today, I experienced the video for Coldplay's Life In Technicolor II. It does a pretty good job at making you think "What's next?" A catwalk? Pyrotechnics? Awesome.

"Fuck yeah." ~ the video taping dad.
